Below is an example of a ceiling suspended retractable batting cage. This batting cage frame is a slip fit construction, with set screws to fasten "T" and "Elbow" fittings (1-3/8" I.D.). The 1-3/8" steel tubes can be sized to fit any custom application.
The cage is made from extra heavy weight treated netting. This system is recommended for baseball programs with continuous usage. Tandem cages and custom applications also available.

This system is used mainly in a facility where the size of the cage is close to the same length as the area the cage would be positioned, or obstructions hinder installation. The Return-Pull system pulls a series of cables in two separate directions, allowing a 70’ long cage to be installed in a facility as long as 75’.
From our years of experience and constant product improvements, the package listed below is what we feel most of our clients have required in previous installations. If, by chance, there is an item listed that your facility does not require, it can be omitted. Our kits include all the hardware needed, unless your ceiling has an obstruction that we have not encountered or is very rare.
Complete frame includes: Pulleys, beam clamps, hardware kit, and appropriate amount of 1/4” and 1/8” air craft cable and clamps needed. A custom winch mount bracket which is used for mounting the electric winch to a ceiling truss or concrete, block, wooden or steel wall, allowing final adjustment of winch to prevent any cable rub or drag. Custom beam clamps fabricated to accommodate the different thickness of beams and trusses to support pulley lift points.
Electric Winch:
(1) 3/4 hp Electric Winch (5yr warranty) with wall mounted key switch.
Batting Cage Nets:
1 3/4” square mesh, 3/8” border rope knotted every mesh, middle rib-line on top to reduce sag. Victory Athletics, Inc. offers a standard #21 which is more economical and used for light to moderate use. #36 nets are more durable and are generally used in high schools and colleges. Other sizes and gauges are available.

These systems are required when there aren't at least 2 trusses available for attachment points, or other obstructions prohibit the use of standard attachment procedures. DRIVE-TUBE SYSTEM:

This system uses a winch to drive a continuous 2 3/8” O.D. schedule 10 tubing that is the same length as the cage and is supported by a 1/4” laser cut bracket with (3) phenolic wheels on which the drive shaft rotates. The cage is lifted by 1/8” galvanized aircraft cable. The cables wind up on individual reels located on the drive shaft at each lift point on frame of cage. This system also used on single lane cages where ceiling obstructions do not permit any other system.

This system is designed as two cages in one. Lifting one large frame separated by a barrier net in-between. The batting cage can be used as one large unit or can be separated by a permanent or sliding barrier net. The system utilizes the drive-tube operation, which can be installed virtually anywhere.

Wireless Remote Transmitter
Wireless remote transmitter: $490.00
Wireless remote transmitter allows you to operate a retractable batting cage system from anywhere in view of the batting cage. The transmitter provides the ability to eliminate expensive wiring cost from ceiling mounted winch motor to wall mounted key switch. Simply hook power to the winch and you are ready for operation. The wireless transmitter can be used on other gym equipment also. By purchasing additional receivers that can be programmed to operate on different channels. For example, batting cages can operate on display (1) and a divider curtain can operate on display (2). Up to 25 additional winch systems can be programmed.
